The governor of the National Bank of Romania, Mugur Isarescu, does not believe that the cryptos would satisfy basic functions in order as “actual money.†He quoted that the cryptos are subject to security issues due to the anonymity of the issuer. He emphasized that the payments with digital currencies are time-consuming and costly compared to the existing options.
