Sony sees to store Digital Rights Data on Blockchain

Sony has filed a patent application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, proposing Blockchain-based Digital Rights Management (DRM). The said system is to be used for storing the digital rights data of the users on the blockchain. It is said that the use of blockchain-based DRM would eliminate the role of third-party service provider.
