The Dementia (disorder which reduces the mental abilities) Society of America (DSA) has made public that they will be accepting donations in cryptocurrencies. Its founder president Kevin Jameson announced, “We have long understood the innovation and freedom-loving value of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin , and have decided to partner with The Giving Block to expand our crypto capabilities and engage the community, thereby expanding our reach.”
The People’s Bank of China (PBoC, the central bank of China) has speedup the process to create it own national digital currency to face the threat from Facebook’s Libra cryptocurrency. Speaking at Peking University Wang Xin, the head PBoC research said, “We had an early start … but lots of work is needed to consolidate our lead. But there would be in essence one boss, that is the U.S. dollar and the United States. If so, it would bring a series of economic, financial and even international political consequences.”
A blockchain payment platform, Pundi X has announced that its XWallet app has integrated Telegram chat crypto transfer feature and also added Crypto Gift, QTUM support & to reduce user experience concerns. The CEO of PundiX said, “Since we launched the XWallet, many users have been introduced to various cryptocurrencies and use cases, allowing them to be more comfortable in owning and using digital assets.”
A green paper that describes an eco-friendly means of mining cryptocurrencies has been released by Chia (a tech company located in USA). The paper explains, “Instead of using proofs of work, Chia alternates proofs of space with verifiable delay functions. This results in a chain than in many aspects is similar to Bitcoin, in particular, as in Bitcoin no synchronisation is needed and we can prove rigorous security guarantees assuming a sufficient fraction of the resource.”
A reverse engineering exponent, Ken Shirriff has reportedly worked out a code that enabled him to mine Bitcoin on one of the first integrated circuit-based computers that were used to navigate the first moon landings by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the 1960s. It has been estimated that it will take more than a quintillion years (1 with 18 zeros) to mine a single bitcoin block.
The platform has now entered into a joint venture with BitMart (a digital asset trading platform) has seen integration with Paxful (a p2p bitcoinmarketplace which had offered 300 payment methods). BitMarket (a cryptocurrency exchange based in Poland) has announced its shutdown in a message appearing on its official website owing to its liquidity woes, in its last 24 hours the trade volume was only $850,080. A user accused exchange, “…long overdue KYC requirement and that they were only targeting people with expired IDs. They never addressed users’ accusations of hiding the fact that the exchange has been hacked.”
Shape Shift (a cryptoexchange headquartered in Switzerland) has launched its new non-custodial crypto platform operating across multiple block chains, the firm announced in a press release. Shape Shift CEO Voorhees explained, “Non-custodial means that a user doesn’t have to trust someone else with their funds. It means they stay in control of their private keys, and thus they are fully in control of their crypto. Usually, people sacrifice user experience or functionality in order to achieve control of their keys,”
A cryptocurrency exchange based in South Korea, Bitsonic established by Skoop Media has selected FLETA blockchain for becoming its validator. FLETA is expected to become more solid as Bitsonic has participated in the FLETA network as Validator parallel with their aim in accelerating the commercialization of blockchain. FLETA’s gateway technology allows projects issuing their tokens through other mainnets such as Ethereum, Tron, or EOS to maintain their original mainnet while using FLETA service chain.
