Chinese Arbitrator rules Bitcoin as a property

The Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration ordered that the cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin are legally protected as property. The arbitrator quoted, “Bitcoin has the nature of a property, which can be owned and controlled by parties, and is able to provide economic values and benefits.” The defendant was ordered to meet his contractual obligations.
