BITPoint Losses $32 Mn Crypto To Hackers

The parent company of the BITPoint (a cryptoexchange based in Japan), Remixpoint has announced that the hackers managed to steal over $32 million. Yoshinori Hashimoto, a cybersecurity expert stated, “Hackers have gained access to the system for around 12 hours and they only focused on Bitcoin, rather than the other currencies that were stolen.” He also believes that the damage could have been halved if BITPoint had taken a more proactive approach in stopping the transactions.
