Facebook appointed Evan Cheng as the Director of Engineering to its Blockchain division. Cheng has been associated with the Facebook since November 2015 holding their Programming Languages and Runtimes. The Facebook developed a consortium to study blockchain and potential. Kevin Weil, the former VP of product at Instagram, has been appointed as the VP of product at the Blockchain division.
