Internet Users hit by malware

The University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab has revealed that the internet users in Turkey and Syria are maliciously redirected to mine monero. The downloaders of Avast Antivirus, CCleaner, Opera or 7-Zip were allegedly hit by malware. Report read, “A series of middleboxes on Turk Telekom’s network was being used to redirect hundreds of users attempting to download certain legitimate programs to versions bundled with spyware.”
