The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) will regulate issuances of ICOs and the trading of digital assets. The need to beef up regulation is to promote fair and orderly trading and ensure investor protection. At present Digital currencies aren’t completely banned, finance minister Lim Guan said regulations will come into force by early 2019.
