Maryland Proposed Bill SB30 to Determine Ransomware as Illegal

Maryland Democrat, State Senator State Sen. Susan C. Lee written a bill SB30, which would make possession of ransomware illegal. The bill encloses to make ransomware illegal in the case of malintent, but not to harm security researchers who study the malware. This decision was made based on the reason attacked happen in the city of Baltimore last year May.
