Ransomware developers sentenced with 240 community service

The developers of the CoinVault and BitCryptor, named Melvin and Dennis van de B, were charged for infecting 1,259 computers with ransomware in Europe. They have generated 10,000 euros since they demanded bitcoin payments as ransom to fix the computers. The accused were sentenced with 240 hours of community service in a Dutch court.
