The Chairman of Security Exchange Commission, Jay Clayton has made it clear that the agency is not going to amend its existing securities law to cater cryptocurrencies. Clayton not considering cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin as security and said, “If you have an ICO or a stock, and you want to sell it in a private placement, follow the private placement rules.â€
