A three-month blockchain developer programme in Africa is now opened for registration. The programme was previously launched by the Africa Blockchain Alliance in collaboration with the ConsenSys Academy as an effort in providing the opportunities for the local developers to gain the skills before they can become industry-ready blockchain developers. The programme currently costs developers in Africa $450.
Blockstack (a blockchain startup) has shared their collaboration with Lambda School (an alt educational institute) as a part of their initiative in helping the student to explore the cutting-edge technologies. The CEO of Blokstack PBC, Muneeb Ali commented, “This is the sort of program I wish was available to me when I was a young student, and I have no doubt the lessons learned here will help Lambda School students excel as they enter the innovative world of technology.
The Blockchain Live event will be held in London Olympia on this coming 25th September as a festival of blockchain education and will be focusing solely on the potential of blockchain and DLT. The event will be organized for 1 day and packed with blockchain-related event and welcoming the exhibitors and sponsors to build some networking through-out the event with all the participants.
Realising the increasing demand and rapid growth of blockchain technology, a country located in South Asia, Bangladesh has decided to channel its funding from the Information Technology project for blockchain education in the country. The program reportedly aims to increase the number of AI, distributed ledger technology, cybersecurity and learning of machines expertise in the country.
A cryptocurrency-related camp called, “Kids Crypto Camp” which aims to teach the younger generation regarding the new investment will also educate the participants in blockchain technology. The camp creator, Najah Roberts then explained, “If our children do not understand, what is happening right now and what is to come, they will not be able to take a seat at the global table.”
A partnership was established between Ripple (a blockchain firm) and creator of XRP cryptocurrency with the two higher education institutions in Japan for its University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI). Emi Yoshikawa, Senior Director at Ripple explained, “Japan is quickly becoming a leading force in crypto assets and blockchain. The region has always been forward thinking and exploring ways to improve the current financial system.”
Mother of Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin, Natalia Ameline is all set to promote blockchain literacy around the globe. Ameline said, “We’re an educational organization, not a political organization. We want to provide women and youth with the maximum opportunity to make their own choices. One of our goals is to bring more women into the space, but we’re starting by focusing on youth.”
As an effort to increase the awareness of blockchain technology, the #MetaGather has been launched by #MetaHash (a blockchain network) Program will be organizing targeted campaigns to familiarize the blockchain technology to the public & consensus building. The CEO of J.P Morgan Chase, Jamie Dimon then explained, “To put it in perspective, we’ve been talking about blockchain for seven years and very little has happened.”
The actor in Matrix trilogy who played as Morpheus, Laurence Fishburne will be hosting ‘Behind the Scenes’ which will throw light on blockchain technology development and its possible impact on the business and wider society. From the Behind The Scenes website they will “…keep audiences engaged, inspired, and informed, with stories that resonate with viewers on the latest developments throughout the world.”
An announcement has been made by the Africa Blockchain Alliance (ABA) regarding the launching of Africa Blockchain Developer Program in collaboration with ConsenSys Academy. A developer from Ghana, Kwadwo Amo-Addai commented, “The Africa Blockchain Developer Program is one of the best online education programs I’ve taken in my life. It has successfully initiated me into the Blockchain space, and fully-prepared me for venturing into this emerging technology sector.”
