A collaboration has been established between the technology company, IBM and Ford Motor Company to pilot a blockchain project in tracking sourced minerals in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The initial work by these organizations will be used as a precedent for the rest of the industry to be further extended to help ensure transparency around the minerals.
An energy company based in Spain, Iberdrola have confirmed its plan to implement the blockchain technology for electric power tracking purposes in the country.
